These pics are from the Adelaide trip. We left at 4am Thursday morning. I was surprised and proud at the same time that the both boys actually got up and got roaring to go!
We got ourselves in our trusty Landcruiser Prado and head for the airport. We were going to park at the Jetport where we will then be ferried to the main terminal. Being an RACV member, we were only going to be charged $55 for 6 days! Quite a deal as far as I am concerned as parking in the city is at least $10 a day and thats not even for 24hrs!
So, to make a long story short(for the 1st day) we reached th eairport, checked in one luggage bag and then waited for the plane. While waiting, we got something to munch at the cafe. We were taking Tiger Airways by the way.

Cool! Same thing here with me. I mainly wake up for things that I look forward to,like going on school trips. Wed 23-Apr-2008 19:12

Nayn's 1st day of school

This is Nayn all ready and excited for his 1st day of prep. This is equivalent to K2 only in terms of level and age but schoolwise, he will be in the same primary school as his elder brother who is in Grade 2(Pri 2). So, when he gets to Grade 1,(Pri1) Nayn will have gotten accustomed to the scholl premises, surroundings etc. The hours are also similar as in Grade 1 and 2 ie 9am to 3.30pm. Having big brother around during breaks is an added incentive but inidividually, he was raring to go. Here are the pics..

Lucky Wednesday

I got back from work today and saw some mail on the dinner table. One was a registered letter and the other was from Mobil. Being the heavier of the two, I reached for the registered envelope and was praying that it contains something good instead of the more customary bills, parking fines etc...
Tearing off the seal at the top of the envelope , I peeked slowly into it to see its contents. I saw the standard opening letter along with a few more pieces of adverts. In each advert, I can sense(by touch) that they had a credit sized card underneath. I was wondering if it was the new credit cards to replace the expired ones but I was thinking that they were still valid. Anyway, unable to contain the suspense much longer, I flipped it open and behold - 5 gift value cards each worth $50! I quickly read the accompanying letter and discovered that I had won the gift cards! It was from Coles, Shell, Target, Kmart and Officeworks. I was elated and couldnt believe it, Saying thanks to the Big Boss, I proceeded to tell the good news to the wife and kids

Next, I opened the next letter which had the Mobil logo ocardmplete surprise, I won another gift card! This time it was from Repco
For those overseas, Repco is a car accessory shop in OZ. I remembered that I bought Mobil 1's engine oil for my car servicing and entered the lucky draw just for fun. Little that I know I'm going to win the gift card worth $25 dollars.
SO , in summary, I won the 5gift cards worth $5o each from Flybuys lucky draw and the $25 gift card from Repco for buying Mobil's product.

Well, I was just a bit speechless afterwards and continued with my inward thanks to God
.
Tomorrow, my 5yr old boy will start his Prep. That is the equivalent to K2 in SG but th eBIG difference is that he will be in primary scholl - the same as his big brother. He was so sad today when big brother had to go to first day of school that he was nearly in tears when sending Hakeem off. Well, tomorrow, I hope he will enjoy his 1st day in his primary school for prep.
I was just thinking what a contrast it is in SG when kids are reluctant to to school whereas here, they are so looking forward to it.

Last outing before scholl re-opens this Wednesady for the boys

Today is a Public holiday in OZ because we celebrated OZ's day on 26th Jan 2008. We brough the boys to the MLB museum as it is a hot day and most of the other indoor destinations have been visited for the past weeks!
Being the last weekend b4 school reopens, I was a bit sad as I really cherished every moment spent with the boys and the lady of the house
Anyway, time really flies and the new year look to be really kicking off again.
We had our dinner at Nila today where they server M'sian, SG and Indian food. We had Nasi Goreng with Lamb, Paper Dosai and Roti Susu with 2 teh tareks for the dad
Today is also the day where I got to show my eldest boy my office. Being in MLB and getting to work in the city had its perks ( and also challenges!) I am lucky enough to get a window desk so, he got to see the view that I see evryday at work. Its just a shame younger bro Nayn was having his late noon nap so he was downstairs with mummy at the wheel.
